He was predeceased by: his parents, Meyer Ratner and Anne Ratner. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Hal Ratner (Jeanine Magill), Sari Ratner, Marni Ratner and Jennifer Ratner-Rosenhagen (Ulrich); his grandchildren, Eli, Caleb, Hope, Amelie, Noah, Leo, Gabriel, Charlie and Jonah; his siblings, Harvey Ratner (Carole), Arlene Engle (Stuart) and Carol Miles (Keith Villere); his cousins, Dennis Ratner (Julie), Douglas Gelfeld (Carole), Ellen Newman (Leon), Carol Rosenberg (Hyman), Larry Bennett, Neil Simon (Natalie) and Annette Simon; and the mother of his children Miriam Lavine Ratner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
