She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kouvaras and Irene Kouvaras (Gaitis); her sister Anita Gargas; and her husband Gus John Geckos. She is survived by: her children, Marietta I. Geckos Groepler (Fritz), John G. Geckos and Rena Reese (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Jack, Meg, Kate, Elyzabeth and Nathan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
