Josephine Ellen Hathway Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Ellen Hathway of Bethesda, Maryland, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edison Orellana; and her daughters, Sophia and Georgette. She is survived by: her child Georgie (late Edison); her stepchildren, Michelle and Francisco; and her siblings, Ceci Greco (Bob), Susie Lamontagne (Richard), Annie McGlynn (Kevin), Donny Hathway (Debbie), David Hathway, John Hathway (Mary Margaret), Mary K Savercool (John), Charlie Hathway (Maureen), Maggie Lane (John) and Elizabeth Muir (Chris). She is also survived by 72 nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:45 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (10103 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902). Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Knights of Columbus (9707 Rosensteel Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to an educational trust fund for Josie's daughters may be made to the Childrens' Trust under the Last Will and Testament of Josephine E. Hathway (or to Charles Hathway, Trustee) c/o Charles Hathway, Trustee, 2104 Cascade Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
