He was predeceased by: his wife Winifred Grace McConkey (Beveridge); his daughter Susan McConkey; his sister Elizabeth Betty Calfous (McConkey); and his parents, James F. McConkey, Sr. and Edna Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Jim, Jennifer Neemann, Cathy (Jeff Freel) of Derwood and Patricia of Germantown; his grandchildren, Dr. Katelin McConkey, Carolyn Freel of Columbia and Jon Freel of Bethesda; and his great grandchild Quinn Cook of Easton.
Due to COVID-19, there will no public viewings and interment will be private.
