He was predeceased by: his former wife Kathleen Grogan Neill; his son Hugh; and his parents, Thomas Neill and Helen Neill. He is survived by: his wife Diana Weid Neill; his sons, Pat (Bridget Neill) of Washington, Jim (Amy McNamer) of Bethesda and Stephen (Nancy Neill) of Washington; and his sister Agnes Neill Williams of Chevy Chase. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to Georgetown University Hospital, where he received excellent care over many years.
