She was predeceased by: her spouse Leslie Schaffer (England); her parents, Walther Karl Kurt Apelt and Johanna Maria Apelt (Sommer); her sister Margot Sybille Apelt; and her niece Julia Sylviane McCurdy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Victoria Carla Barrow and Jessica Schaffer Walton (late Robert Norman Walton); her grandson Leslie Warren Barrow; her great-niece Ria Nicole McCurdy Manalac (Alto Isabello); her great-nephew Brett Andrew McCurdy (Xiomara Ayala McCurdy); and also Emma Valentina McCurdy.
