He is survived by: his wife Carole Szpak; his mother Nobuko Kasamatsu; his sisters, Julie Takai (John Vergalla) and Lori Kasamatsu (Randy Maphis); his niece Krista Takai (William Yuen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason and Kendall; and his brother-in-law Robert Szpak.
