Cornelius Albert Collins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cornelius Albert Collins of Bethesda, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 8, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cornelius Albert Collins to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph Collins and Margaret Bernadette Weaver Collins; and his brother Robert James Collins. He is survived by: his siblings, John Anthony Collins, Mary Josephine Collins and Patrick Francis Collins; his wife Vera Guy Hill Collins; his children, Connie Giganti (Vince) of Damascus, MD, Tim Collins (Laurie), Margy Hampton (Brien) of Bethesda, MD and Daniel Collins of Frederick, MD.; his grandchildren, Maggie Moore (Vic), Vince Giganti (Cheryl), Katie Chattillion (Matt), Brien Hampton (Elizabeth), Coley Hampton (Jeanette Proudfoot) and Christopher Hampton; and his great grandchildren, Caity, Victor Moore, Vincent, Jaxon, Leo, Maddie Giganti, Bella, Jake Chattillion, Henry, Archer Hampton, Samuel Proudfoot and Lily Hampton. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends to honor both Neal and Vera at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7500 Pearl St, Bethesda, MD on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 9 to 10 am where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both at 10 am. (Family does request everyone continue to follow COVID precautions and wear masks inside the church).
