Ashok Deshmukh Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ashok Deshmukh (Bethesda, Maryland), who passed away on April 28, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rajeshwar Vyankatesh and Chaudhari Deshmukh; his wife Marion; his son Raj; and his daughter-in-law Bernadette. He was also cherished by brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends.
Ashok was the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including from the American Astronautical Society ("AAS") and the United States Space Foundation.
