He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James Washel, Sr. and Genevieve Wojciechowski Washel. He is survived by: his wife Delores Ann Washel; his children, Scott Washel (Angela), Christopher Washel (Lisa), Kathleen Steele (Thomas) and Karen Jamison (Michael); his grandchildren, Lea Coppage (Levi), Brooke Jamison (Michael), Kate Washel, Keeley Washel and Carolina Washel; and his great grandchildren, Sterling Coppage and Nico Balbo.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke Catholic Church (9903 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, MD 21842). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
