She was predeceased by: her husband Francisco "Franc" Ortiz of Puerto Rico; and her sister Elisabeth "Rosie" Mueller. She is survived by: her children, Patrice Ortiz Cogswell (Dave), Karla M. Davis (Tony), Kevin F. Ortiz and Ramon R. Ortiz; and her grandchildren, Austin Ortiz, Alexander Ortiz, Noah Ortiz and Sofia Ortiz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
