He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence N. Whaley and Oneita G. Bowen; his wife Barbara Bowen; his siblings, Sandra Whaley, Annie Mae Higgins, Barbara Miller, Clarence "June" Bowen, Ronald Whaley and Howard "Ki" Whaley; and his grandmother Alfounzia Bowen McCray.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Bowen (Henria) and Dr. Mark Bowen (Lisa); his grandchildren, Shynika "Shy", Jayla, Jordann, Mark, Daniel and Ashley; his siblings, Gloria Purnell (Gary), Gloria Parker, Catherine Briddell, Wanda Briddell and Norman Whaley; his uncle Linden Tunnell (Judy); and the mother of his children Sandra Bowen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home (1618 West Rd, Salisbury, MD 21801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
