He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bower and Haidee Wilson Bower. He is survived by: his wife Jill Bower; his sons, John Bower (Amy) and William Bower (Julie); his brothers, Edward Bower and James Bower (Joyce); and his grandchildren, Andrew Bower, Estella Bower and Zachary Bower.
