It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Defressine of Berlin, Maryland, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Neville and Violet Neville Matthews; her husband Robert Defressine; her daughter Lisa Brophy; and her siblings, William Neville and Molly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Hazard (Mike) and Deborah Defressine; her son-in-law Stephen Brophy; and her grandchildren, Spencer Hazard (Olivia) and Brittany Lord. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department.
