She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie Louise Hudson Showell and Clinton Henry Smith; and her husband Edward W. Waters, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Monique Waters, Anthony Smith (Teresa), Timothy Smith (Jimmie), Edward Waters, Jr. (Kathy), Nkemjika Waters (Cynthia) and Tykhruma Waters; her sister Grace Gray; and her sister-in-law Queen Dennis. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
