She is survived by: her parents, Charles Smith, and Joyce Smith, Sr.; her husband Sunder Copes, Sr.; her children, Lasonya Snead (Clayton, Sr.), Jordan Copes and Sunder Copes, Jr.; and her siblings, Charlene Smith (Jonathan), Francine Johnson (Willard) and Charles Smith, Jr.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; one niece; three nephews; several cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
