He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward Donaway and Olevia Rosina Donaway (Lewis); his wife Shirley Ann Donaway; and his children, Myrna Kay Reid, Johnny Ray Donaway and Michael Donaway.
He is survived by: his great great grandchild Samiya Lynn; his children, Jeannette Fay Gaunt (Richard) and David Donaway; his sister Barbara Adkins; his grandchildren, Joanie Reid, Richard Reid, Daniel Reid, Tiffani Harris, Everett Jack Gaunt and David Donaway; and his close friend Mark Phillips (Mary).
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burbage Funeral Home - Berlin (108 Williams St, Berlin, MD 21811). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dale Cemetery (11809 Steam Mill Hill Rd, Whaleyville, MD 21811).
