It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma M. Cherrix of Berlin, Maryland, born in Salisbury, Maryland, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Spencer and Hattie Ayres Spencer; her husband Charles Lee Cherrix, Sr.; her brothers, Joseph Mason and Charles Spencer, Jr.; and her pet Barney.
She is survived by: her children, Charles "Huck" Cherrix, Jr. (Wendy), David Cherrix (Tammy), Brenda Cherrix Evans and Rita Cherrix Shahan (Cliff); her sister Catherine Bunn; her grandsons, Adam Uhlman, Hunter Shahan, Joseph "Joey" Shahan and Henry Cherrix; her stepgrandson Christopher Brittingham; and her great grandchild Weston Cottman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Emma's name to Snow Hill Church of Christ, 4848 Washington Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
