Charles Purnell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Purnell of Berlin, Maryland, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his father Charles Theodore Purnell, Sr.; and his sisters, Linda D. Purnell Stamp Wilson and Marta K. Purnell Stamp O'Connor. He is survived by: his mother Irmgard Stockman Heinecke; and his siblings, Clay Stamp, Bill Stamp, Ralph Stamp, Cindy Stamp and Susan Krutsick.

Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home and donations may be made to Coastal Hospice.
