We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2024, at the age of 81, Bettye Wicker (Berlin, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Bettye departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Bettye may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bettye leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford O'dell and Eula Mae Avera; and her brother-in-law Roy Hayhurst Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Sandi Johnson (Keith) of Millsboro, DE. and Eddie Lloyd (Tracie) of Enterprise, AL.; her siblings, Mary Ann Hayhurst of Arlington, TX and Larry Avera (Pam) of Port St; and her grandchildren, Casey Minard of Ocean View, DE, Tyler Lloyd of Enterprise, AL and Natalie Griffin (Larry) of Butte, MT.
