He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Flora and Blanche Flora; and his sisters, Joyce Hardisty, Elinor Breen and Ethel Flora.
He is survived by: his spouse Johnnie B. Flora; his sons, Melvin H. Flora, III (Kathy), Robert Flora (Terri) and Michael Flora (Lisa); and his stepchildren, Fred Brewster, Jr. (April) and Keli Martin (Terrell). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
