It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Wesley Powell of Beltsville, Maryland, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Samuel Benjamin Powell; and his parents, Valti Wesley Powell and Edrie Lee Bonebrake Powell. He is survived by: his wife Jane Schapman Powell; his daughters, Bridget Elizabeth Powell and Anne Powell Stone; his grandchildren, Quinn Wesley Powell, David Edward Stone and Silas Valti Stone; and his sister Nanette Powell Strauss. He is also survived by extended family, and a wide circle of friends.
