He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Ticas. He is survived by: his parent Rene Chavez; his former spouse Heily Caldera; his children, Leilani Chavez and Joshua Chavez; his son-in-law Jose Mayen; and his brothers, Rene Chavez, Alvin Mercado and Kenny Mercado. He is also survived by Two children were born to this union, one daughter and one son.
In his last month, when the COVID-19 virus robbed him of his physical strength, it also gave him a softness we treasured.
