He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Patton and Eleanor Patton; and his son Eric Richard Patton. He is survived by: his wife Robertina C. Patton; his children, Robert Edward Patton, Lisa Marie Hanes and Julie Ann Zuramski; his children-in-law, Robert Louis Hanes, Joseph Stanley Zuramski III and Kathryn Hoke; and his sister Sister Etta Patton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home (610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral Mass will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (540 Joppa Farm Rd, Joppatowne, MD 21085).
Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's name to Holy Spirit Church at 540 Joppa Farm Road, Joppatowne, MD 21085.
