She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Davis and Virgie Davis (Little); her husband James Clarence Smith; her siblings, Lundy B. Davis and Ora L. Pugh; and her pet Peanut.

She is survived by: her nephews, Michael Pugh and Steven Pugh; and her pet Happy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2106 Churchville Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21015.
