It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John A. Devanney (Bel Air, Maryland), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 1, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Frederick A. Devanney; and his sibling Frances T. Devanney. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Devanney (Hopkins); his children, John A. Devanney (Gigi) of Bel Air, MD and Joyce A. Devanney of Rockville, MD; his grandchildren, Drew, Daniel and Elizabeth Devanney; his parent Eleanor Devanney (Parkinson); and his siblings, Eleanor Coughlin, Frederick Devanney, Mary Haggerty, Joseph A. Devanney and William Devanney.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests contributions in his name be made to the HVI Gift Fund at Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute, Development Office, 600 N. Wolfe Street, Blalock 536, Baltimore, MD 21287.
