She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William Allen Hooper Jr.; her daughter Andrea J. Hooper; her sibling Karol M. Ashbrook (Owen); her sister-in-law Susan Vermeir; and her nieces, Jennifer Clarke, Heather Harris, Vicki Jutras and Sherri Schenkelberg.

Memorial donations may be made in Joan's name to The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, or The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation [JDRF].
