She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick J. Petrella, Jr.; her daughter Melody Ann Petrella; and her parents, Edward Bartkowski and Ida Bartkowski. She is survived by: her children, Robin Lorber (Charles) and Frederick Petrella, III; her grandchildren, Brandon Lorber, Justin Lorber (Erica Bodt) and Brooke Lorber (Cameron Wann); and her brother Richard Bartkowski (Connie).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
