She was predeceased by: her parents, James Silk and Marie Silk (Davis); her husband Howard Hayden; her former husband Bruce Garrett; and her brothers, Edward Mitchell, Howard Silk, Albert Silk and Charles Silk.
She is survived by: her children, James M. Smith (Wanli), Cynthia J. Thompson (Kenneth) and Sherry C. Smith; and her grandchildren, Ryan Weidman, David Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Jordan Amass and Amber Smith. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
