He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Elizabeth Vogel (Moulden); his parents, Ewald Paul Vogel and Sarah Ann Vogel (Miller); his grandson William Edward Weimer; his siblings, Frederick William Vogel and Ida Pauline Vogel; and his foster son Raymond V. McCue.
He is survived by: his brother Albert "Bud" Vogel; and his children, Marian "Jean" Weimer (Bill) of Jarrettsville, MD, Edward Weigand Vogel, Jr. (Melanie) of Bel Air, MD and Tracy Elizabeth Lane (Doug) of Forest Hill, MD.. He is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
