He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred and Fred; his wife Phyllis; and his brothers, Robert and Gerard.

He is survived by: his children, Danielle (Mario) and Roslynn (Bill); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Conley), Laura (Jim), Michael Mario Jr. (Lauren), Jonathan and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Katya, Joel, Natalie, James, Savannah, Margaret and Patrick.
