He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Hess; his parents, Jesse Hess and Viola Hess; and his sister Maxine Hutchins. He is survived by: his children, Robin Wilson, Kathy Fried, Carmine Hess, Shirley Dunlap and Bobby Hess; and his siblings, Betty Schultz, John Hess and Jesse Hess, Jr.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
