It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernardo John Alaimo of Bel Air, Maryland, who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Bernardo and Phyrn Anne Alaimo (Jones); his sister Rosaria Surdel; and his brothers-in-law, John (Jack) and Michael Duvall.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Alaimo; his children, Bernardo John Alaimo, Jr. (Angela) and Gina Townsend (Maxx); his grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph, Natalie, Evan and Gianna; his nephew Phillip Surdel; his great-nieces, Hannah and Estella; his niece AnnaMarie Lane (Bryan); his parents-in-law, Gilbert, Sr. and Emma Shelsby; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Duvall and George Prell (Jo).

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air (610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mountain Christian Church (3465 Box Hill Corporate Center Dr, Abingdon, MD 21009).
