She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert H. Lane and Eleanor V. Lane (Green); her husband James Michael Ellis; her children, Kathryn Ellis-Warfield of Frederick, Andrew Ellis of Clarksburg and Robert Humphreys of Boonsboro; her grandchildren, Mina Ellis, Jovie Ellis, Alex Harshman and Mikey Jenicek; her children-in-law, Justin Warfield and Julaine Nichols; her brothers, Bryan and Peter Lane; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Knape and Maryann Lane. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews; and several close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Susan's honor to the Frederick County Animal Welfare League.
