He is survived by: his parents, Richard Lee Donato, I and Bonnie R. Henry-Cohen; his wife Gail Donato; and his children, Juliana Donato, Richard Donato and Charles Donato.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to make a donation to the American Heart Association.
