With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne P. Howard (Barnesville, Maryland), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 2, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth H. Howard; her parents, Selby W. Preffitt and Ruth Preffitt (Fisher); and her children, Teresa Cooper and Kenneth Wayne Howard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda H. Sheckles (Mike) of Mt. Airy, MD and Rebecca H. Sterba (Martin) of Frederick, MD; and her siblings, Mary F. Beavers (Don), Kathleen McVearry (Mike) of Bowie, MD, Richard Preffitt (Nancy) and Stephen Preffitt (Teresa) of North Potomac, MD.
