Selma Louise Bassel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 97, Selma Louise Bassel of Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Irvin Bassel; her daughter Marsha Bassel Holowinko; her siblings, Geraldine, Ruby, Melvin and Jean; and her parents, Rose Kaufman and Emanuel Kaufman.
She is survived by: her children, Hyla Bassel Carey (Dov), Howard Bassel (Nancy) and Shel Bassel; her grandchildren, Etana, Tova, Noah, Tirtzah, Milcah Ezra, Tiferet, Temimah, Nitza, Hodaya and Shmaya; and her great grandchildren, Zoe, Sophie, Benji, Raya, Shalev, Nevoh, Romi, Zoharia, Shir, Rut, Yedidiah, Luz, Be'eri, Rumi, Lavi, Oriyah, Eitan, Nadav and Yael.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Beth Jacob Cemetery (4001 Old Troy Pike, Dayton, OH 45404).
