He is survived by: his wife Mila Gitelman; his daughters, Marina Vurgaftman (Eugene) and Alina Dmitriev (Anton); his brother Mikhail Gitelman (Inessa); his grandchildren, Toni Victoria Loeb (Shlomo), Benyomin Nosson Vurgaftman, Eliyahu Gabriel Vurgaftman, Daniella Valeria Dmitriev and Katya Milana Dmitriev; and his great grandchild Gideon Shaya Loeb.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208).
