We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2025, at the age of 77, Karin R. Batterton of Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karin R. Batterton to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Aaron Batterton; her brother Neil Lapidus; and her parents, Gloria Lapidus and Paul Lapidus. She is survived by: her children, Sara E. Batterton (Michael Kerin) and Jenn E. Batterton (Daniel Leers); her siblings, Ira Lapidus (Lesley) and Ari Lapidus (Rena); her grandchildren, Sadie Kerin, Noah Kerin, Sammy Leers and Phoebe Leers; and also, Richard (Martha), Wade (Candy), Steve Batterton, Craig, Kyle and Kurt.

Please omit flowers. Contributions in Karin's memory may be made to The Richard and Karin Batterton Scholarship for Social Justice and Public Policy at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Planned Parent of Maryland.
