He is survived by: his children, Larry Jay Appel (Cathy Comeau) and Caren Beth Appel; his grandchildren, Heidi Sontag (Chris) and Ryan Appel (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Austin Appel and Ally Appel Sarah Appel; and also Bohdi Sontag.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208). A shiva was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at 7218 Park Heights Ave, Pikesville, MD 21215.
