He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Christina Griffin; his son Howard S. Griffin, Jr.; his brother Robert Griffin; his parents, Herbert Griffin and Evelyn Griffin (White); and his grandparents, Herbert and Gertrude Griffin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Frances Griffin and Carol Marie Smith; his friend Buck; his grandchildren, Christina, George, Michael, Gregory and Grace; his great grandchild McKenna (Mac); his siblings, Raymond, Herbert, Kenneth Griffin and Susan Standridge; and his close friend Andy Hovanac (Hover). He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell - Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc. (6500 York Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (6428 York Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212).
