McCloskey (Baltimore, Maryland), who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 99, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Florence may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Rzeminski and Kazinierz Rzeminski; and her husband Edward McCloskey of Baltimore's Brooklyn. She is survived by: her children, Marlene Duff of Hampstead, MD, Barbara Bryl of Linthicum, MD and James McCloskey of Millersville, MD; and her sister Theresa Tunilla of Shenandoah, PA. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church (3803 4th St, Baltimore, MD 21225). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (3803 4th St, Baltimore, MD 21225). A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Baltimore National Cemetery (5501 Frederick Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228).
