She was predeceased by: her husband Otis "Oakey" B. Spence; and her sister Ruth Redmond. She is survived by: her daughters, Jean A. Feick (Philip), Sandra L. Anton (Roger) and Susan E. Spence (Jeryl Gegan); her grandchildren, Philip, Jr., Jonathan, Janet, David and Jeffrey; and her great grandchildren, Steven and Kate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to JSSA (Jewish Social Service Agency), 6123 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD 20852.
