It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy June Upperman (Baltimore, Maryland), who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Dorothy June may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Upperman, Sr.; her parents, Cora Prettyman and George Gue; her children, John F. Upperman, Jr. (Sue), Paul V. Upperman, Charles E. Upperman (Cathy), Billy J. Upperman (Joann), George S. Upperman and Mary E. Gross; and her sister Ellen "Babe" Hurd. She was also cherished by 13 grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. (1501 E Fort Ave, Baltimore, MD 21230). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
