She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Helen Pilkerton and Cleveland Randall "Diddy" Pilkerton; her husband William Albert Nelson, Jr.; her son Keith Nelson; and her brothers, Robert Pilkerton "Bobby" and David Pilkerton.
She is survived by: her children, Terrie Nelson of Avenue, MD and Al Nelson of Colton's Point, MD. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
