He was predeceased by: his mother Esther Chabot (Mogilinksy). He is survived by: his son Herb; his wife Aleen Chabot; his son Elliot; his grandsons, Donald and Lewis Chabot; his daughter Nancy Jo Chabot; his grandchildren, Jules, Niko Chabot and Sophie Potter; and also Parker Potter.
While the COVID pandemic years were hard on Herb, he rose to the occasion and mastered the use of the weekly family Zoom nights, commanding great attention as he presided over his list for the week.
