He is survived by: his daughters-in-law, Colleen (Michael), Donna (Matt), Rebecca (Mark) and Kathleen O'Halloran (Jillian Jensen); his grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan), Stephanie (Jake), David, Julia, Rebecca, Addison and Jackson; his wife Judy; and his brothers, Melvin (Joan) and Randy (Nancy). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (16420 S Westland Dr, Gaithersburg, MD 20877).

“Dr Sturtz was my bosses boss for many years. I also golfed with him on numerous occasions over a 25 year span. I had the utmost respect for him and am sorry to hear of his passing. My wife and I are out of country and can’t make the service but I will definitely be thinking of what a great man he was. Steve Edwards”
