He was predeceased by: his sisters, Barbara Jean Mueller, Nancy Zucker and Sharon Gilbert. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Anna Kappus; his wife Gloria; his children, Richard Douma, Jr. (Anna Kappus) and Christine McCorkle (Peter); his grandchildren, Richard "Alex" Douma, III, Katherine Higuera (Sean), Logan Kappus, Amanda Kappus, Mason McCorkle and Nolan McCorkle; and his sisters, Shirley Fleming, Maisie Douma and Carolyn Douma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
