He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain William A. Zobel of Charleston and Ruth Marshall Zobel of Charleston; and his wife Mary Keller Counts Zobel. He is survived by: his sons, Captain William C. Zobel (Skip), David M. Zobel, Sr. (Anne) and James W. Zobel (Colleen). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
