It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Joseph Philburn of Annapolis, Maryland, born in Irvington, New Jersey, who passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Philburn, (Metz) and William F. Philburn, Sr.; his brother William F. Philburn, Jr.; and his former wife Therese M. O'Connor. He is survived by: his sister Kathleen Bushka of Bloomfield, Connecticut.; his wife Maureen Mershon of Annapolis; his children, Robert T. (Åsa), Ann (Michael Feldtmose) and Justin (Ginger); his grandchildren, Angelica, Kasey, Kevin, Luke, Flynt and Ronin; and his family, Maureen Short (Jack), Jane Sinclair, Colleen Prosser (Lester), Ronald Sinclair, Molly Simms (Mauricio), Denise Boswell, Renee Lee and Michele Fleck (Tom). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
